Analysis of the new 154-Church Sites of the Circle: Surpréis, Oddity, and Faulty Choice

The new top 10, 154-weight sites of the ring have been updated out with a few surprises and odds. Terence Crawford is #1 in their sites, which makes no sense. He moves up to 168 to challenge Canelo Alvarez for his undisputed large middle weight championship. That right should be and automatic loss.
WBC’s acting champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. Now #2 on the list. That largely makes it #1 if you remove Crawford from the list completely because he abandoned section 154-weight to go after a payday.
When a fighter moves up to a higher section for financial reasons, they should be removed from their title or sites. In the case of Crawford, he is not committed to returning to section 154 lbs. That alone is enough reason to ban from the top 10 of the ring.
Installing Xander Zayas ahead of Yoenis Tellez is a strange call, given that nowhere is nearly as talented as the Cuban fighter. Tellez would be a nightmare for Zayas. Not all the tricks used by Xander to defeat Jorge Garcia, holding excessively and sentimental, would be effective against Tellez.
154-laid sites updated to the circle
Therefore, Crawford needs to be off the latter. That would be a good start. Demote Zayas off the list completely, because it doesn’t beat any of the other fighters. There are no words to describe how terrible Xander looked in his battle last Saturday against Jorge Garcia.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. would beat Sebastian Fundora, Bakhram Murtaliev, nor healthy Israil Madrimov. It needs to be pushed down around the middle point on the list.
