A 13 -year -old Chinese student was accused of death for the death of a 14 -year -old girl at a home in Newcastle, Australia.
The 14 -year -old girl, who is also a student of exchange from China, was found with one wound to her trunk in Eston Close, Edgeworth, around 10:20 pm on Monday, after the police were called for reports of stabbing.
The paramedics treated her at the scene before she was pushed into a critical condition.
The youngest girl will appear in the Children’s Court on Wednesday for murder.
Supervisor Treisi Chapman, commander of the Lake Macquari police area, said that both girls were from China, after they traveled to Australia as part of a program in which they remained with the locals who worked as hosts.
They were attending a local school and visiting the sites around the Hunter area.
“They arrived in Australia eight days ago and was expected to leave Australia on August 16,” Sopt Chapman said.
“New South Wales Police continues to work with the facilitators of the program to ensure that all appropriate operations and notifications are carried out.”
The two young girls were staying with the same hosts, a man and a woman. They had their own bedrooms.
“All parties retired to their rooms in the evening when one of the hosts heard a stir of a kind, and when I went to investigate, the 14 -year -old identified.”
The police are not aware of any relationship between the two girls and are verified whether there is any date between them or not.
The supervisor Chapman said that the linguistic barriers were a worker working with the consulate because the girls were not a Australian population, so there were “clear complications and disturbances with that, which is why we took some time to work.”
The police acquired the kitchen knife.
