Devin Haney faces a “gunshy” tag in front of Brian Norman Jr. Welterweight Pout title

Devin Haney says critics go to his litter no matter how he performed in his last battle against Jose Ramirez on the Times Square Card last May. Haney (32-0, 15 ko), people were not going to find something to criticize for how he fought.

Fight Ramirez: “Gunshy” Haney?

Haney threw almost no punch in the fighting, and Ramirez did not. He didn’t have to move as much as he did, but he seemed anxious about being caught.

Fans noted that the former Haney two-department world champion appeared to be ‘gunshy’ coming off a year Layoff, and a beat down against Ryan Garcia. They attribute his reluctance to throw punch as a sign of mental damage.

He had been dropped three times by the king in their fight last year in April, and had put three extra times down that the referee did not count. It was a battle that many fans felt he should have been stopped.

Fighting Norman Jr is waiting

Haney will face the largest puncher in the welterweight section, WBO Champion Brian Norman Jr., on November 22nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It’s a battle that Devin can’t afford to be hesitant to throw because if he doesn’t let his hands go, Norman Jr will talk to him to score hit out.

“They’re going to say something anyway,” said Devin Haney to call a magazine XResponding to finding out that fans believe he was a ‘gun’ in his fight against Jose Ramirez last May. “If I went in there and was struck with a bunch of left hooks, they’re going to say, ‘He didn’t learn anything. He’s being hit with the same punch.'”

It is concerned that Haney cannot openly admit that he was worried about being clipped, and that he did not have the confidence in his jaw to be able to take the shots from 33 -year -old Jose Ramirez.

“If I went in there and got hit with the right hands, they’re going to say, ‘Now, it’s a sucker for right hands.’ So, they’re going to say something whatever they do to say, ”said Haney.

Third Haney Eye title

“I want to be the best for me. On November 22nd, I want to be the best possible Devin Haney. I want to go in there and become a three -division champion and have another win,” said Devin.
