Emiliano Vargas Vs. ERNESTO MERCADO: Social media feudal fired lightweight welter pressure section

Emiliano Vargas traded words with the weight competitor Ernesto Mercado’s lightweight welter on social media today.

Emiliano Vargas: Jealousy accusations

The son of the famous Fernando Vargas, Emiliano (15-0, 13 Kos), who has received much attention thanks to his highest position champions, accused Mercado (17-0, 16 Kos) of being jealous of the attention he receives from fans and the media.

Ideally, Emiliano would agree to fight Ernesto Mercado so that they could settle their beef inside the ring. The top position will probably not take that opportunity. Emiliano is a money maker in the future, and they prepare it in the same way as they did Edgar Berlanga and are currently doing with Xander Zayas. That means no difficult fight where the result is not 100% sure ahead of time for Vargas.

In a way, Emiliano is fine. Mercado has not had the same huge promotional push from its champion, Eddie Hearn, whose top site has been donated to Emiliano.

Hearn has as many big names on his corresponding room roster so that he has no time to promote it in the same way as Top Rank does with Emiliano Vargas. Ernesto Mercado is an incredible talent, with much better amateur qualifications than Vargas, but Hearn does not give him the same promotional push.

We see the same as 2020 Olympic Gold Medal winner Andy Cruz. It is also promoted by Matchroom. Cruz is widely regarded as the best fighter in the light section, in the opinion of many people, a much better talent than Shakur Stevenson. Hearn rarely talks about Andy. Hearn has too many talented fighters, and is the main guy who makes all the talking over Matchroom.

Mercado would likely destroy Emiliano because he has better talent and essentials. Vargas is more like a chip off the old block, fighting like his father, Fernando. Once the highest position is in combination against a good person in the future, he will come into contact.
