The US Special Advisor (OSC) is investigating Jack Smith, former specialist adviser, OSC has confirmed Fox News.

Smith was tapped by the then-Attorney General Merric Garland to serve as a special advisor regarding two probes related to the then-former president. Donald Trump??

OSC Smith is investigating the allegations of violation of the hatch law, which prevents government employees from participating in political activities. This is not a criminal investigation.

The OSC is not the same as the special advice appointed by the Attorney General, as was Smith, but according to his website, “is an independent federal investigative and prosecution agency,”.

“OSC’s Legal Authority has come from four federal laws: Civil Service Reform Act, Visal Bloor Protection Act, Hatch Act and Uniforms Employment and Rehabilitation Rights Act (USER),” website explains the website.
