So this is what happened. I (36 m) I have a daughter of my previous marriage, and my wife (34f) has a son of her salary. We all have lived together for nearly two years. On Saturday, my daughter and I planned together, just from us. We were going to the park and spent today to knock, which was very excited.
But then my wife asked me if I could take care of her son, Tyler, for this day. I said no. I didn’t like the child or anything, but I have already made plans with my daughter, and it was important for me to spend some time together. My wife did not take her well, drew her eyes, and she left.
After a few minutes, my daughter came to me crying. She said that my wife started mobilizing my clothes and told her that “I will have to choose between her son and my daughter” and that she would do “anything to make us leave.” My daughter said that my wife was constantly feeling that she is strangers and always accused me of putting my daughter first on Tyler.
I didn’t know what to say that. This was the first time that you said anything like that. I tried to talk to my wife when she returned home, but she escalated so quickly. She said that if I did not leave with my daughter, she would rise.
All I wanted is to get a day with my daughter, and suddenly, everything seems to collapse. I started wondering whether this is really related to children, or if it is deeper than that. I don’t know what to do.
