I Refuse My Stepdad to Walk Me Down the Aisle, but What Mom Revealed Froze Me / Bright Side

“So, after my father’s death, I made it clear that my mother’s new husband was not really a” family “for me. I mean, I did not hate the man or anything, but he reached the picture very quickly, and I never click on him.

When my wedding appeared, I just told my mother that I wanted to walk my grandfather in the corridor. No big deal, just presidents. I lost that.

She started screaming about how Mark (this is her husband) “there for me” and how I was cold and disrespect. I told her that he is not my father, and she needs to stop behaving as it is.

We reached a full argument. She was screaming, I was screaming. Things became hot between us quickly. Then anywhere, I stopped screaming and began to cry. This truly understood me because, frankly, I didn’t think it was deep. I asked her about what was happening, like the reason she suddenly shouted, because it is unusual for her.

She didn’t say anything, just grabbed her phone and handed it to me.

It was a video of Mark. He was standing in front of the mirror, in a suit, literally practicing how to walk on someone in the corridor. Fix his position, set his sleeves, and whisper like “You look beautiful” for himself as he was training.

There was a few other clips of him asking someone if he should walk slower, or if he carried his arm strange. Just try again and again.

I had no idea what I say. I still don’t want him to do it, but it was something. I didn’t think he really cared about.

So I left wondering, was you very harsh, or was it fair to stick to what you wanted? Deep, all this came from my father’s true honor.
