I Refuse to Go Back to Work at 62 Even If It’s to Save My Grandson’s Life / Bright Side

my dear A bright side,
I was 62 years old and recently retired after working since I was eighteen years old. My daughter, a single mother, works dual seizures. Now her 8 -year -old son faces a serious disease, and I begged me to return to work to help cover his medical bills.
I told her, “Sorry, my comfort is my priority.” Initially, I just smiled, but she shocked me by saying, “You will not see your grandson again!”
The next day, she went to her home to talk about things, however I froze when I saw it was completely empty. For several days, I tried to reach them, did not answer my calls and stopped working.
on Day eighthand She called me the best friend and told me that my daughter and my grandfather were staying with her. She had left California and moved to another state to reduce the costs of living, and stay away from me.
A few weeks have passed, and my daughter still will not talk to me. I know that she is punishing me for not entering it, but she did not ask me to feel a lot.
Were you wrong to put myself first and choose my well -being? After decades of hard work, I think I deserve comfort and peace in 62.
sincerely,
Maggia
