Jaron ‘Boots’ disappointing list of opponents for October tuning: Analysis of Rashidi Ellis, Charles Conwell, and Andreas Katzourakis

Jaron’s’ Boots’ Ennis’ team has sent out offers to four fighters for his tuning battle up in October. Most of the names are disappointing. Champion Eddie Hearn had already revealed that Josh Kelly was one they had made an offer. However, Kelly said he was offering a ball.

Fighting unnecessary tuning boots

Fans do not understand why tuning would need to be tuned on Ennis (34-0, 30 ko), because of the hype behind his career. He should be able to jump right into section 154 lbs immediately and start fighting against the best men. That’s what Terence Crawford did at the mature age of 36 last year against Israil Madrimov. He almost cost him, but he still did.

Jaron Ennis Opponents List

  • Rashidi Ellis: Still fighting in welterweight, Ellis (27-1, 18 ko) has won his last fight against low-level resistance since losing to Roiman Villa in 2023. This choice would make no sense of fighting shoes because it is not a younger middle weight. It defeats the purpose of using it as a tune to sum up itself to section 154 lbs unless this is actually about having an easy payday.
  • Charles Conwell: Of the four, Conwell (27-1, 16 kos) is arguably the most talented crew, but also comes off a loss to Jorge Garcia. It would look bad for Ennis to fight a man who lost. Again, this may not relate to Ennis Wetting his feet in section 154 lbs.
  • Josh Kelly: We already know that this fight is not happening. A proposal was made and rejected by Kelly and his team. Hearn pointed out that Kelly had some Riyadh season money, and was skeptical about his chances that this fight will happen to Ennis. It would be a weak choice anyway.
  • Andreas Katzourakis: Unbeatable with a 16-0 record, Katzourakis has a recent victory over Brandon Adames. It’s not a great choice if the purpose is to prepare ennis to fight like Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Why do you need tuning up on ennis?

The problem with Ennis tuning up is that his entire career has been nothing but fighting warming against smaller fighters without having stepped up once to fight better opposition.
