Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis seeks October/November tuned up for first appearance 154 lbs: indefinite opponent
Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis trains for his expected melody in October or November for his first appearance in 154. No opponent has been confirmed for Ennis (34-0, 30 KOS).
One of the problems that a former weight champion has IBF and WBA Ennis is that there is less motivation for firefighters and their champions to want to face. Without the title of a world, there is less motivation for firefighters to face ‘shoes’ ennis in what would be a dangerous struggle for them.
Boots Search Opponent Ennis
Ennis and his team need Turki Alalshikh to help him secure distinguished fighters in 154 to agree to fight him as his tuned opponent. He needs a good enough opponent to prepare him for a high -profile conflict against the Temporary Mid -Junior Weight Champion CLLC Vergil Ortiz JR in early 2026.
The other promoters, the top site and PBC, do not want to allow their fighters to be used as tuning opponents for Eddie Hearn shoes promoted by Ennis unless it is financially rewarding. Any fighter facing ennis is likely to be cast out or definitely beaten in a unilateral decision. Then their value to their champions will decrease.
Ideal tuning opponents 154
– Keith Thurman: Possibly too expensive
– Charles Conwell
– Jesus Ramos
– Josh Kelly: a style similar to Karen Chukhadzhian
– Callum Walsh
– Tim Tszyu
Firefighters as a former unified welterweight champion ‘One Time’ Thurman, 36, may be unrealistic because he still regards himself as a star. If Hearn could have Keith for a deal price, it would be a good opponent for Ennis to use for tuning purposes. However, the advanced age of Thurman and his 5’7 ″ small frame makes it less than ideal to prepare shoes to fight true mid -weight.
Ennis, 28, recently left his IBF and WBA welterweight titles because of the difficulty making weight and inability to fight a merger against the promoters Mario Barrios and Brian Norman Jr.
High risk, low -prize ennis
Moving up to 154 would make it easier for ennis to make weight and get more fighting. What he and Hearn did not realize was how difficult it would be to have opposition to fight in 154 Now that he has no longer a title. For them, Boots have nothing to offer, and it’s pure trouble. In other words, he is a high risk, low prize fighter.
