Jess Carter could have been in England, where she participated in the celebrations after Assad’s victory in the European Women’s Championship and canceling the horrific international championship of veteran artillery.

Instead, she rushed to join her teammates on the Gotham team before resuming the NWL season on Friday night against the stars in the Chicago suburb.

Carter said on Thursday. “I am really happy in Gotham, and I feel comfortable around the team and about girls, so I just wanted to return to this environment.”

Carter talked about the ethnic abuse she endured during the euro, and she would rest from social media.

“We hope that speaking publicly will make the people who write this abuse think twice so that others do not have to deal with it,” Carter said in a statement.

Carter participated in allowing both goals, as Sweden advanced 2-0 before England returned in the quarter-finals. She did not start in the semi -finals and played only one minute as a late alternative.

But it was surprising to the beginning of the eleventh of the final at the center, and it was a key role in helping to stop the wonderful Spain team (including his teammate Jateam Esther Gonzalez) before England won a penalty.

“There is a strong squad in New Jersey ready to fight on its behalf,” said Jotham’s general manager, Yael Averebousch West.

Averbuch West told The Post: “To see a perseverance and play well in that final match, then the England champion was crowned – she deserves incredibly and such an important part of our team,” Averbuch West told The Post. “The vision of Jess succeeds in over the game, and this was an important moment.”

Gotham played the last time on June 21, and won a second consecutive match to move to the eighth place in the NWSL ranking, before the league stopped for six weeks.

The team announced on Thursday that Katie Steinjel, a member of the 2023 Gotham Championship team, was obtained from Crystal Palace in England for the rest of the season.

Also this week, Gotham agreed to extend a one -year contract with defender Broenna, who takes her during the 2027 season.
