Notes from Jets Training Camp on Friday:
Justin Fields had an excellent practice, as he moved well inside and outside the pocket while showing a strong chemistry with Garrett Wilson and Mason Taylor at different points, 12 consecutive completion.
The defense got some pressure on the fields, but it was a little coverage, while opening the receptions constantly.
Aryan Smith spent a widespread emerging day, hunted from Tyrod Taylor on the crossing road and made another play below the line on a deep ball from Fields.
Queen Williams (the calf) and John Simpson (Odeh) missed Friday and they will be outside a week or two, although coach Aaron Glenn confirmed that both absence are precautionary. Malachi Moore was also absent with a tilted strain. Braelon Allen returned back after he lost two practices with knee pain.
