Apollo 13 mission commander, astronaut Jim Laval has died. He was 97 years old.
“Our dear father, US Captain James A.
“We are very proud of his wonderful life and career duties highlighted by his imaginary leadership in the beginning of the human space,” the family statement further said. “But, for all of us, he was a father, grandfather and the leader of our family. Most importantly he was our hero. We were our unwavering optimism, his humor, and the way we feel that we could do it impossible. He was really a kind.”

In 1970 in, Lovel was a part of three-man employees .The part of the emergency of space was safely returned to Earth.
In the 1995 film, he was seen by Tom Hanks.
