A state legislator joins the race to challenge St. Paul Melvin Carter.

She worked as a political assistant to Carter during his first term.
In the last legislative session, she had a chairman of the Commercial, Financial and Political Committee in the House of Representatives, and she sat in the House of Representatives Tax Committee.

She also said that the city needs a leader to address President Trump’s tariff, immigration policies and federal discounts.
