The rural singer and Walker Hayes open a painful period of almost a painful period in his life that led him to lose his soil.

The singer “passion” was explicit about his struggles with alcohol addiction in the past, and he often writes about his experiences in his songs.
In 2024, Hayes released an album entitled “Sober Fexis”, which included songs that discuss his experience in misuse of alcohol.
While promoting the album, he appeared on “Today with Hoda and Jenna” and spoke to the hosts about the moment he decided to be sober after struggling with alcohol use for 20 years.

He explained that while “everyone loves a song of drinking”, he loves to sing on the sobriety journey, and writes one song a week on “freedom of addiction”, because of his gratitude.
