Multiple sources told the “The Post” that the MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Philadelphia Prace Harper were an oral quarrel last week at Velez Club during part of the commissioner’s annual tour of the teams.
Sources said that Manfred was in a pink park and was about five minutes away from his opening notes at Velez Club when Harper entered strongly, and suggested that if Manfred there was to talk about the ceiling of salaries, the Commissioner must leave. People familiar with the stock exchange said that Harper used profanity words when facing the Commissioner.
Manfred informed the first base man Velez was delegated and will not leave. The sources said that the two had a brief exchange in which he asked Harper about what Manfred did for the players. The sources said that the meeting lasted for about an hour, with Harper and Manfred remaining in the attendance.
The commissioners’ office did not provide any comment on this matter alongside Harper’s agent, Scott Bouras, and the Association of Players.
