Ryan Garcia and Isaac Cruz: Possible Fighting with a steep price

Ryan Garcia could be challenging Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz for his next WCP’s temporary lightweight welter weight title. The fighting that Ryan (24-2, 20 kos) did not want against WBA 147-weight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, but it would be a better shot in winning.

If Ryan is still insisting on a huge payday for his next fight, he will not be happy that he is facing Cruz (28-3-1, 18 kos). It will not match the $ 20 million he received for his knee against Rolly on May 2nd on Times Square in New York City.

“Reports indicate that Isaac Cruz would make his first defense of Super CLC’s super light championship against Ryan García,” he said Knockout Espn.

It is very skeptical that Ryan, 26, can make the 140 lbs limit. He has not put pressure for the lightweight welter pressure section in three years since his fight against Javier Fortuna in July 2022. Garcia’s conflict against Oscar Duarte and Devin Haney was at a lightweight welter weight both over the 140 lbs limit.

If Ryan is drained and dead at the weight, he is going to be an easy win over Cruz’s ‘Pitbull’ because this is his weight class. Cruz is easy to make the 140 lbs limit. This is not the kind of fighter that Ryan needs to be facing if not 100% after weight making. It is more likely that RTAN will not make weight, and will face Cruz with no belt at stake.

Fighting for the WNB’s 140-weight interim title is pointless to Garcia because it’s not like it’s going to stay in the section and protect the belt. He couldn’t even want to do that, and he will not want to fight Subriel Matias, the WBC 140-weight champion for the full belt. That’s who Cruz should be fighting.

Some fans believe that Ryan is being washed now after his loss to Romero. They feel that whatever magic he had for his victory over Devin Haney in 2024 has now disappeared.
