Special elections were appointed for two open seats in the Senate in Minnesota.
State Governor Tim Walz has announced that the seat elections in the province 29 and the region 47 will be held on Tuesday 4 November.
Province 29 was previously elected by Senator Bruce Anderson, who died on July 21. Anderson, a Republican, was elected for the first time for this seat in 2012. The province covers parts of the provinces of Wright, Micker and Heinibin.
Province 47 had previously been held by Senator Nicole Mitchell, who resigned from her seat last week after being convicted of a crime robbery to storm her father’s wife’s house. Mitchell, a democracy, was in her first term in the Senate. The area covers parts of Washington and Ramsey provinces.
The nomination and filtering courses will be opened for both seats from July 30 to August 6.
Private elections will be held, if necessary, on August 26.
With the opening of these two seats, Democrats carry one seat feature in the Senate.
