
Tamara AulPauum grant Jim Denomie Memorial Scholarship
Tamara Augaumet, a multidisciplinary artist who lives in Minneapolis, has been granted a Jim Denomie Memorial Grant.
An annual prize of $ 10,000 is awarded to the artist who represents the commitment to excellence, generosity and participation with society.
“I always try to push it forward,” said Aulumut. “I think this is what Jim was also. I only think of supporting other artists and society, it’s what we all do for each other.”

The award is managed by all my relationship arts, one of the scholarship partners. The exhibition and programs managed JULLANA Enright is a member of the selection committee.
Inter said: “We were really interested in people who had a spirit of experiences in their work and also knowing how to use humor, because this was a large part of the work of Jim, his fun, and his nature is eccentric.” “We decided to reflect these qualities.”
Upon receiving the award news from the Scholarship Committee, he said that Enright said that AUPAUMUT shared a short story about their friendship with the late artist.
Inter said: “AUPAUTUT told him a story about these trees that were women, and they will steal another person’s lover, another person’s man. Jim believed that it is very fun to end up putting something like this in his work.”

Deanomie was an international famous artist who praised him for his amazing use of color and a sense of humor. He died in March 2022 at the age of 66 after a short illness.

The family of the late artist is also working in partnership with Gallerist Todd Bockley to manage the award. Bockely represented Denomie’s work for more than a decade.
Bokley said: “Jim’s unique vision was as an artist, whose passion for defending young artists was matched. This grant embodies both, in the best possible way.”
