Others may say, “Eh, maybe nothing” or “I bet he will pass.” If the last examples look like you, take it: a new analysis by the United Kingdom Autotrader He explains that ignoring these sounds can cost you a lot of money – and that even when drivers are Do Stop listening, most of them are completely mistaken in diagnosing error.

Autotrader recently requested 2000 British drivers to diagnose only 10 problems by listening to sound clips of actual car problems. While more than half of the drivers said they are confident that they are able to determine the case, 70 percent were diagnosed at least half of the votes. Confidence was particularly high between the owners of Mercedes-Benz-80 per cent said they knew what the mistake was by the ear-but they were BMW drivers who got the maximum extent.

The most confused sound was a low -energy guidance liquid, which was identified 82 percent of people. The wheels carrying the wheels came in a little 81 percent, and even the exciting Clank of the arrested engine, approximately three quarters of the respondents. Some drivers’ performance was a little better with worn brake pads, although this was half -diagnosed in half.

The cost of delaying repair

Forty-seven percent of the respondents claimed that they would get a sound immediately, while 36 percent said that they were likely to wait a month before the investigation-but the delay of the reforms came at a very declining cost. On average, drivers who ignored the sound ended up spending an additional $ 540 to fix the problem, and one in five reported that more than $ 950 was paid. Men were poorly likely to delay the examination of their cars, and Audi drivers were the most vulnerable to postponing them for more than a week.
