The outbreak of the Legion’s disease in Harlem leaves at least the dead, 22 others are sick while health officials raise the warning

One of the New York and at least 22 others who were exposed to the disease died in the outbreak of the Corps in Harlem.

The Ministry of Health in New York City said on Wednesday that the group of diseases that resemble pneumonia, which was initially discovered on July 25, was now identified in many gray symbols throughout Harlem.

The details were not provided about the person who died.

Medical Vice President, Dr. Tony Isalin, urged any of the New York residents “influenza -like symptoms” to contact the healthcare provider as soon as possible.

“Legion’s disease can be treated effectively if it is diagnosed early,” said Isalin.

“But New York residents are at greater risk, such as adults between the ages of 50 years and over, those who smoke or have chronic lung conditions should be aware of their symptoms and seek care as soon as the symptoms begin.”

Although the Corps is although it is not treated in time, the Corps disease is not infectious and can be treated with antibiotics.

This disease is usually transmitted through the water -polluted water supply of the Legion’s bacteria that can appear in plumbing systems and find favorable conditions in the cooling towers, hot resorts, hot ponds, moisturizers and condensate in large air conditioning systems.

Officials said that all operating cooling towers in the area were under investigation had been taken from them – and the Ministry of Health has ordered the owners of buildings with positive results to treat the problem within 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health said that the areas that were confirmed by cases confirmed in five Harlem symbols: 10027, 10030, 10055, 10037 and 10039, along with neighboring societies.
