The reform officer was stabbed by a prisoner in Rush City Prison

An officer in the Rush City Correctional facility was transferred to a local hospital after an attack from a prisoner on Saturday.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Corrections in Minnesota, the guards were conducting routine cells when they faced a prisoner suspected of homemade alcohol.

When the officers approached, he claimed that the prisoner assaulted an officer with a temporary hindering weapon.

The officer was wounded by a hole and is currently being treated for non -threatened injuries in a local hospital. Three other officers, who helped to subjugate the prisoner, were transferred to the hospital, and they were evaluated and released.

About 950 people were imprisoned in Rush.

The prisoner who claims to have attacked the officer is serving a life imprisonment for murder and will be transferred to the utmost security prison in Oak Park Heights.

The prisoner’s name was not released. The case will be referred to the Cisago County lawyer for potential charges.
