Meat filling workers in Austin, Minnesota, filed a lawsuit against work against Hermel foods On Wednesday because of their failure to provide them with the advantages of paid leave required by the state law.

Some allegations against Hermel in the lawsuit include that the company refuses to provide the benefits of obtaining members and their failure to continue on paid leave at the end of the year.
“It matters to Esse because it gives us time to care for ourselves or our families when we need more than others,” said Dan Linwai, who works at Hormel Foods and UFCW 663 Union. “This means that we do not have to risk our functions or wages only to care for our health or our families. Everyone deserves the right to rest and recover without fear.”
