8.8 After the earthquake of magnitude, Russia’s Lossy Peninsula breaks

This is one of the earthquakes registered so far – but so far, many have not brought a disaster tsunami.

On Wednesday (00:25 BST), the 8.8-time earthquake was hit by the East Russia at 11:25 when the earthquake of the local time was raised about the population on the coast of Pacific.

Millions of people were evacuated as they overturned the destructive tsunami of Boxing Day 2 in the Indian Ocean and Japan 1.

But today’s tsunami is very serious, though it has been damaged.

So what caused the earthquake and tsunami – and why was it not bad enough to be afraid of initially?

What causes mega earthquake?

The Kamchakat Peninsula is inaccessible but is in the “Pacific Ring of Fire” – this is called the exper earthquake and a large number of volcanoes.

The upper layers of the earth are divided into sections – tectonic plates – all related to each other.

The “Pacific Ring of Fire” is a arch of these plates spread around the Pacific. According to the British Geological Survey, eighty percent of the world’s earthquakes occur along the ring.

Next to the shore of the peninsula, the Pacific plate is moving to the north of about 8 cm (3in) every year – double the growth of your nails, but faster according to the tectonic standards.

The second, the small plate comes in contact – called the oakhotus microplace.

The Pacific plate is Oceanic, which means that there are dense rocks and submerged under the low dense microplay.

When the Pacific plate sinks in the center of the earth, it becomes hot and begins to melt, effectively disappears.

But this process is not always smooth. The plates get stuck while the plates are behind each other and the overraiding plate is pulled down.

This friction can grow for more than thousands of years, but then suddenly can be left in two minutes.

It is known as the megthrust earthquake.

“When we think about earthquakes, we imagine a focal point on the map as a small point on the map. Stephen Hicks explained.

“This is the abundance of faults and the area of the fault that causes the severity of the earthquake.”

The largest earthquake in history, Chile, Alaska and Sumatra had three strongest, all the megthrust earthquakes.

And the Peninsula is likely to have a strong earthquake.

The US geological survey states that in today’s earthquake, 30 km from today’s earthquake. (19m) had an earthquake at a higher high intensity.

Why wasn’t the previous tsunami so bad?

This sudden movement can displace water on top of the plates, which can then go to the coast as a tsunami.

In the deep sea, Tsunami can travel more than 500mph (800 km/h) like a passenger plane.

Here, the distance between the waves is too long and the waves are not too much – rarely higher than the meter.

But as soon as it enters the shallow water near the tsunami land, it is reduced, often about 20-30mph.

The distance between the waves decreases and the waves increase in height, which can effectively form the water wall near the coast.

But it does not guarantee in any way that due to the extreme earthquake, the tall tsunami can especially reach the distance.

According to the authorities there, today’s earthquake brought the tsunami waves 4 meters (13 feet) to some parts of the East Russia.

But they do not come close to the Boxing Day 2004 tall waves in the Indian Ocean and Japan 1.

“At the height of the tsunami wave, the local coastline near the coast and the land on which the land (sized) is affected,” Prof. Prof. Prof. Prof. Prof. Prof. Prof. Prof. Powered by Blogger.

“It affects how serious these factors are, including how much the coastline has a population.”

Initial reports in the United States Geological Survey say that the earthquake is about 20.7 km below the surface of the earth. (12.9 miles) was on a very narrow room.

This can lead to more displacement of the seafluor, and therefore the tsunami wave is a big one, but it is difficult to say so quickly after the incident.

“There is a possibility that Tsunami models have predicted conservative estimates at the earthquake room,” Dr. Hix told BBC News.

“Possibly you can change that earthquake to another 20 kilometers deep, and this will reduce the amplitude of the tsunami wave.”

More than 1.9 million Japanese residents were ordered to go to tall ground after the earthquake

Good early warning system

Another important factor is the development of the early warning system.

Due to the high earthquake in the Pacific region, many countries have tsunami centers. They send warning through public announcements to get out of the population.

There was no such arrangement when the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004 arose – many people without leaving time to get out.

More than 230,000 people were killed in 14 countries in the Indian Ocean.

The early warning system is significant due to the limited capacity of scientists to guess what the earthquake will occur.

US Geological Survey Ten days ago, an earthquake was reported in the same region.

This may be a prerequisite – the initial release of energy – but this is not the estimate of the exact time of the future earthquake, pro. Powered by Blogger.

“How fast the GPS is running to measure the current movements, and after the previous earthquake we can use this information to estimate the potential for the earthquake,” she said.

The geographical survey of the Russian Academy Cadmi of Sciences (GS RAS) is expected to continue for the next month.
